Easter Extravaganza- April 20th

Come join us this year as we kick off Easter with our community egg hunt, Easter Eggstravaganza! There will be inflatables, food, and fun for the whole family. Every kid will get candy and the chance to win amazing prizes. So, be sure to invite your friends and stick around after the event for our Easter service. You don’t want to miss it. See you there!

There will be three epic egg hunts for the following age groups:
Walkers – 5yrs at 4:30pm
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade at 4:45pm
3rd – 5th Grade at 5pm
We encourage you to bring your own basket for the hunt! 

Planetarium Special Feature: Native American Folklore-April 25th

Shows at 5, 6, and 7 p.m.

Join us for this special planetarium where we’ll explore Native American folklore and legends behind the stars.

Our Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Due to size, space is limited to 15 patrons at a time. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for this reason. On Planetarium Nights, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing. In case of no-shows/late shows: reserved spots will be released at show time to make space for the next party.

Shows begin at 5, 6, and 7 pm and last approximately 45 minutes.
Seating is limited and very popular. We encourage purchasing your tickets in advance, as this is a first come, first served event. Please call 850-664-1261, stop by the Science Center, or use our online ticketing option to purchase your tickets.

Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers Crawfish Boil- April 27th

Help kick the tail out of crime, and have a great time doing it! Join Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers Saturday, April 27th for a good ole’ fashioned crawfish boil at Uptown Station, Fort Walton Beach! The fun starts at 11AM we’ll have lots of Louisiana Crawfish to boil up and shrimp as well! It’s gonna be fun for the whole family! Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe will be entertaining the crowd plus the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office will have a K-9 on hand. Bring the whole clan, eat some great food, help stomp out crime and just have a great time!

Saturday In the Park at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida- April 27th

DATE: April 27, 2019

Join us on 27 April for our 43rd annual Saturday in the Park event! The days begins with the Heritage 5K and kids’ one-mile fun run through historic Valparaiso and Bayshore Drive. Following the 5K awards and participation ceremony, the museum will be open to the public. We will have food and craft vendors, demonstrators, local artisans, activities for kids, and much more in Perrine Park just across the street. Admission to the museum and all activities is free!

21st Annual Fort Walton Beach Lions Club Golf Tournament- April 27th

The FWB Lion’s Club 21st Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the FWB Municipal Pines Golf Course. Registration starts at 7am. Play begins at 8am. Format is a Florida Scramble. Lunch will be provided as well as drinks on the course. The cost is $70/person or $260/foursome. Gold sponsorships are available for $300 (Foursome and Tee Sign Sponsor) or Silver sponsorship for $100 (Tee Sign). Prizes will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams in each flight. There will be a Ladies Flight. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, 50/50 as well as prizes for closest-to the pin and long drive. All proceeds from this tournament will be used to support Lion’s sight related charities such as eye exams, glasses and diabetes screening for those in need in our local community. The Rotary Club of Crestview holds it’s annual Benefit Dinner, The Rotary Roundup at the Baker Arena- May 3

The Rotary Club of Crestview will be holding it’s 26th annual Rotary Roundup Dinner on Friday May 3rd at the Baker Arena, 6pm.

Formerly the Wild Game Dinner, this event has grown to include a live band – Teal Magnolias –  a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar!  Our keynote speaker for the event this year is Colonel Edward L. Hubbard! Colonel Hubbard spent six years, seven months and twelve days of his 28 years of service in the United States Air Force as a POW in North Vietnam. Colonel Hubbard is now an internationally known motivational speaker, author and photographer.

As in previous years, ALL of the proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Crestview’s health, hunger and literacy programs, including Okaloosa County Schools and many other local non-profit organizations!

Rock United Music Fest- May 18th

Rock United Music Fest is a family-friendly, day-long event to bring together donors, advocates and volunteers who have supported the United Way of Okaloosa & Walton Counties. The entire community is invited to learn about the mission of United Way while enjoying a family day at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village. The festival will feature local favorite bands, food vendors, local artists, a VIP area, and a fun kids’ zone. The crescendo of the day will be the United Way Board of Directors announcement of the 2018-2019 Community Impact Grant recipients and provide “Big Check” presentations onstage! Last year, United Way awarded over $661,000 in grants and designated funds to social services in the areas of health, education, and financial stability.

Cost is $10 for each bike/driver and $5 for passenger. All cages welcome.

Tired of the people who fill your timeline with photos at 6 a.m. of them working out, prepping to run a 5K? Us too.

Join us for our East Pass Slacker 0.5K, specifically for those “underachievers” who enjoy cold beer and the shortest walk possible. All proceeds will benefit Panhandle Animal Welfare Society.

Registration table opens at 8am on Saturday, May 25 at the Boathouse Oyster Bar. Get checked in and grab a Bloody Mary to kick things off right. A shotgun start at 10am will send participants to the first location. Walk, run, skip, crawl.. however you’d like to get there. First to cross the finish line takes home a basket of alcohol worthy prizes.

Missed our Slacker 0.5K event? Or maybe you had so much fun you just can’t wait for the next one? Either way, The Boathouse is bringing you FIELD DAY, another event where you can show off your top notch athletic abilities.

All proceeds will benefit Panhandle Animal Welfare Society just like last time. It’s for the animals, people!

Teams of 6 are welcome to participate in Field Day, which features a tournament style of 5 games that must be completed with beer in hand. Each team will have a variety of chances to win and lose points over the course of the event and additional prizes will be given out for the Best Dressed Team and Best Dressed Individual! **Water may be involved, so dress accordingly**

This event DOES have a limit on the number of teams, so register early before the spots are filled!
